Think of a horrible dystopian future where mankind is forced to live sheltering underground. This is an aerial from the world above.*
An exploration into the dark side of Julians. Apophysis 3D, + PSP7 for framing and signature. The starting seed was created following ~Meckie's Simple 3D Julian tutorial [link] (check it out, it's wonderfully well done btw).

Edit: oh my god! It's been so amazing to log on for a hit-and-run check and find out I'd received my first DD - I was literally lost for words! I wish to give you all a real massive THANK YOU for all the faves, and as many hugs as you can reasonably take... Being in a bit of a hurry I can't start replying to your comments right now as I'd most wish to do, but I'll see to that by tomorrow... I prolly won't leave a comment for every single fave I receive, but I'll take time to look at all your galleries should it take me a whole week, promise! Necropolis by *NilNilNil means... ancient burial ground and with the artist's description of the lyrical quote: "a horrible dystopian future where mankind is forced to live sheltering underground", WOW does this elicit strange imaginings! It has such a dark feeling of solitude. I couldn't take my eyes off it. The depth, texture and darkly ominous coloring put me into a reflective, stunned silence. It is an absolute MUST FULL VIEW piece of artwork! ~ This artist has many truly amazing fractals in his gallery. Take the time to look through it!
